Beacon Lodge is located in Pennsylvania on 583 acres, nestled in the beautiful Appalachia Mountains along the Juniata River. Serene, wooded, unspoiled with natural beauty, and surrounded by some of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the eastern United States, Beacon Lodge is an extraordinary place. Secluded for those who require peace and quiet but also rugged enough for those who seek adventure. Originally organized in 1948 to meet the needs of a camp for residents of Pennsylvania who were blind, Beacon Lodge has achieved a far-reaching aspiration…an inclusive summer camp for both children and adults with various disabilities!

We operate two separate camps at our location during our season; Our Adult camp for individuals over 18 and our Children's Village for those under 18. Each camp has separate housing but shares the activities locations.

Our 2023 season begins Monday, June 17th, and ends on August 15th. Our season is separated into seven sessions for both our Adult Camp and Children's Village. For more information regarding specific sessions, please get in touch with us today!!

Camp Application Fee: $100
Camp Fee: Varies based on sessions.


*We cannot provide registration to campers with feeding tubes, dialysis needs, or catheters; all camper registrations are reviewed on an individual basis.*

Pennsylvania Residents who cannot afford the total amount of the camp fee may qualify for assistance or partial assistance from a Lion's Club in their area.
