Three Youth Fashion Summer Camps are offered
(Monday to Friday- 9:00am to 4:00pm)
1- July 9 to 20, 2018
2- July 23 to august 3, 2018
3- August 6 to 17, 2018 (Advanced camp)

This Summer Camp is for youth ages 13 to 17 years old. It is offered at the Richard Robinson Academy of Fashion Design on Sussex Drive, neighbour to the National Gallery of Canada in the heart of the Byward market. During the two weeks, they experiment all aspects of the Fashion Designer career: from Fashion Sketching and Illustration, Pattern Design, European techniques in hand and machine Sewing, Textile painting and transformation. Make-up and a mini fashion show of their multiple projects are very exciting at the end of the camp. The projects achieved are the product of their imagination and are at the height of their creativity. It gives them a solid initiation to develop their dexterity, encourages expression of their originality for garments and accessories that they wear and model with pride.
Fashion Sketching by designing fashion silhouettes, garments they would like to wear; they experiment with different mediums and see their creativity flourish.
In Sewing, they do multiple simple projects where they apply techniques learned in Sewing, Pattern Making mixed with techniques learned in textiles. They come up with amazing ideas and projects.
In Textiles, they experiment with different fabrics: Using their creative projects in Sketching they play with dye and paint on fabrics. They also learn beading with a good variety of supplies and techniques and include them in their sewing projects.
Cost for the camp: $600. (Includes all supplies)
