Wildwood’s day camps are unique experiences designed especially for 6 – 11 year-olds. Each morning begins with the discovery of a nature theme that will tug at imaginations as the natural world is explored. Daily afternoon electives offer many more choices of educational and recreational fun. Campers can enjoy hikes, pond study, paddling, creative art projects, outdoor living skills, and water games! Throughout the day, campers connect with each other and their environment through exploration, games, songs, and art. And what hot summer’s day would be complete without a refreshing dip in Hubbard pond.

Campers are grouped by age with activities and games specifically tailored to meet the needs of all. Small groups are led by two to three leaders with experience working with younger age groups in experiential outdoor education. Campers will have the opportunity to make discoveries and learn about making choices. Cozy camp areas create safe spaces for relaxing, sharing and learning.

Wildwood Overnight Camp sessions for campers aged 9-14 provide a traditional camp experience in rustic and comfortable facilities. Campers choose one Interest Group in which to participate for the week. The Interest Group allows them to delve deep into an environmental topic of their choice while working closely with a consistent group of fellow campers to build friendships and outdoor skills and knowledge at the same time. Discovery Groups later in the afternoon inspire new passions as each camper tries a new activity every day. Evening programs bring the whole camp community together for an exciting and fun activity to end the day.

The Leaders-in-Training program is an opportunity for young adults entering grades 10 and 11 to develop environmental leadership skills. Each group participates in activities which follow Mass Audubon’s mission of environmental conservation, education, and advocacy. These activities include community service projects with local conservation organizations, leadership and mentor roles for the overnight campers, and a citizen-science study under the guidance of Mass Audubon naturalists.

Teen Adventure Trips bring campers aged 14-17 into the beautiful landscapes of New England to enjoy the best that nature has to offer. With a focus on activities like hiking, cycling, canoeing, and climbing, each trip will build teens’ confidence in not only their outdoor skills, but also in their ability to problem solve and overcome challenges.

Our Family Camp is a great way to for the whole family to reconnect with each other in a natural setting. Whether this is your family’s first camping experience or you are seasoned campers, Wildwood has everything you need to enjoy some quality family time outdoors. Each family stays in their own cabin, tent or yurt at our fully-staffed camp in Rindge, NH. Spend time together during family events, or split up to make new friends during kids-only and adults-only activities. With both traditional camp activities and unique, nature-based focus, Family Camp provides the best of Wildwood’s outdoor experience for all ages!!
