Since 1968, Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts has provided children ages 5–18 from Long Island and NYC the chance to experience the transformative power of the arts amidst the beauty of nature. A rich legacy of training some of today’s top artists, Usdan counts actors Natalie Portman and Olivia Thirlby, and singers Jane Monheit and Mariah Carey among its 45,000 alumni.

Students choose from 50+ courses in the creative and performing arts, and classic summer camp activities, to design schedules that suit their talents and interests. Classes are led by professional artists — actors, directors, playwrights, painters, musicians, composers, dancers, poets — and experienced arts educators to ensure students receive top-tier artistic training in the discipline of their choosing — Visual Art, Creative Writing, Dance, Music, or Theater. In addition, Usdan offers classes in Chess and Nature, as well as Archery, Yoga, and Swimming. Transportation via air-conditioned buses and vans from Long Island and NYC is included in the cost of tuition. Generous scholarships and tuition assistance packages are available.

Usdan Center is located on Long Island at 185 Colonial Springs Drive, Wheatley Heights (Town of Huntington.) The Center is an agency of the UJA-Federation of New York.
