Your child will thrive at this summer camp in California's Tahoe National Forest! Kids 8 to 17 have fun, make friends, and enjoy a wide variety of noncompetitive, largely team-based wilderness adventure activities.

What distinguishes this summer camp from other summer camps?

Location. Nestled on the peaceful headwaters of the North Yuba River among 200' fir trees as old as America, this ACA accredited overnight summer camp is adjacent to the spectacular Sierra Buttes, where from the summit on a clear day you can see 100 miles, and the incredible Lakes Basin Recreation Area, which has over 70 pristine mountain lakes and miles and miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. The natural beauty is incomparable, the variety of destinations hard to beat. Your camper will stay interested and engaged for however long s/he chooses to stay. No one gets bored here!

Size. With just 85 campers permitted to enroll, your child won't get lost in a crowd and will hopefully make friends that will last a lifetime!

Activities. Our focus on noncompetitive, team-based activities frees your child to have fun, gain skills and build self-confidence without fear of whether they're "good enough" to be picked for a team, or what the other campers will think of them after a competition or game. We operate on the "Challenge by Choice" philosophy. Your camper chooses in which activities to participate and how far they want to go with them. We supply the guidance and encouragement! What would you attempt, if you knew you couldn't fail?
