In both the 5-day "Explore Rock Program" for pre-teens and the 10-day "Performance Program" for teen girls, participants have access to top notch musical facilities and instruments, lessons from professional musicians and time with visiting artists. Most importantly they have lots of time to collaborate with each other. Throughout the week students work on the development and arrangement of original and cover tunes for the performance on the final day of the camp. The emphasis is on songwriting, ensemble performance, musical and collaborative leadership skill development. There are no pre-requisites for either of the performance programs aside from a desire to learn and perform.

IMA also offers a ten day "Studio Recording, Engineering and Production Program" for girls and young women. Pre-requisites are required for the recording program, students up to 24 years old are accepted.

The camp is located on 25 acres in Goshen, Massachusetts. Sessions are limited to 14 students, financial aid and songwriting scholarships available. Teens will be interviewed each year via video conferencing by the Executive Director, the first year as an orientation to the program and the following years for goal-setting.
