Rising Treetops at Oakhurst, established in 1906, is located on a scenic 15-acres in Oakhurst, New Jersey in Monmouth County, about one mile from the Atlantic Ocean. Campers live in easily accessible modern cabins, surrounded by tall trees, grass and fresh air, with all the counselors, support and adapted facilities it takes to make their stay at Rising Treetops a fun and memorable experience. Rising Treetops helps campers discover new abilities and new strengths, which helps foster independence and self confidence. Year-round, we serve people with special needs, including autism and physical and intellectual disabilities, and provide respite for their families.

Not only do we provide summer sleep-away camp for children and adults, but also out-of-home year-round overnight respite for children and adults, both on a planned and emergency basis. In addition we provide limited day respite services throughout the year for local Monmouth County children and adults.

In summer 2025 our summer sleep away camp will include sessions for general developmental disabilities including an 8-day adult session (ages 26+), and three 12-day and one 6-day general sessions (all ages considered). In addition in summer 2024 there are two 5-day autism sessions (all ages considered). Transportation is available from New York City, and a sliding scaled fee is available for eligible applicants.
