A drama/martial arts/gymnastics camp like no other! Ring of Steel Action Theatre and Stunt Troupe is now in its 31st year of bringing theatrical combat, stunt work and flying F/X to Ann Arbor, SE Michigan & NE Ohio, and they are pleased to host week-long day camps each summer. Campers are given the opportunity to learn the beginnings of a multitude of theatrical stunt arts, with an emphasis on safety and individual discipline. Activities in a single day may include swordplay, high falls, parkour, mini trampoline, whip, lightsabers, a variety of circus arts, LARP'ing and our prop weapon safety workshop. Martial arts techniques, martial acting, historical swordplay technique, and dance are all woven together to create an effective and edifying performance. Stunt work is essentially non-competitive and our co-ed atmosphere encourages cooperation rather than competition. Campers are divided by age to ensure they have a supportive peer cohorts. There are only three other dedicated stunt camps in the nation so come learn to fly with us!
