Adventure Camp - June 15-19, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Students aged 6-12 will experience a new adventure each day during our weeklong Adventure Camp.
Day 1-MULTICULTURAL DAY - Students will experience cultures from around the world including China, Spain, Germany and more.

Day 2-NATIVE AMERICAN/APPALACHIAN DAY – Students will learn to play a Native American drum, enjoy the beautiful music of the flute, see a teepee, and play a dulcimer, Kentucky’s official instrument on the second day of camp. This exciting day will leave the students wanting more.

Day3-MAGIC/SCIENCE DAY – Each student will learn to perform magic tricks and marvel at the expertise of a real magician. Campers will also enjoy fun science experiments in this fun-filled day.

Day4-ANIMAL DAY – If your child loves animals they are in for treat. Students will enjoy chicks, bees (contained), pet grooming and care, and meet K9 Justice and his Patrolman Chip from the Richmond Police Department. There will be many other activities on this day related to animals.

Day 5-PHOTOGRAPHY/ART DAY – Students will learn how to take great photos and paint as they learn to express themselves with photography and art. This day is certain to bring out the artist in each student.

The Wizard of Oz– July 13-17, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Students aged 10-16 will learn about staging, blocking, auditions, props, plot, and much more during this weeklong Theatre Camp. The young actors will present the play Friday afternoon, July 17.

L. Frank Baum's 1900 children's fantasy, the Wizard of Oz is well loved by adults and children alike. This musical adventure is a genuine family classic that made Judy Garland a star for her heartfelt performance as Dorothy Gale, an orphaned young girl unhappy with her drab black-and-white existence on her aunt and uncle's dusty Kansas farm. Dorothy yearns to travel "over the rainbow" to a different world, and she gets her wish when a tornado whisks her and her little dog, Toto, to the wonderful land of Oz.
