Camp Character is a special needs camp that believes that every child needs to experience success in order to develop social confidence and reach their fullest potential. For a population of children with special needs, a structured and professionally supervised setting is necessary to create an environment conducive to success. Camp Character incorporates an extensive new curriculum into our hands-on learning every summer. Much of the experiential learning occurs at the Character Challenge Course, a high ropes aerial adventure course. Featuring a 370’ zip line and countless high and low elements, each child will complete activities that are developed based on themes and individual skill development. Our camp environment ensures that your child is provided with instructional and social support. Highly trained staff, including special education teachers and social workers, work together to provide a successful experience for every child.
