Get ready for an action-packed, two-week adventure in the Great American West! Adolescents who have completed seventh or eighth grades begin their adventure with a backpacking trip in the towering Rocky Mountains of central Colorado. During the trip, participants learn the basic skills needed to camp and travel comfortably in the backcountry, all while taking in stunning views and having an adventure as monumental as the Great American West itself. Returning to campus, they gear up for three days of fun, tackling some of Colorado’s best-known sports: rock climbing, mountain biking, and whitewater rafting. No experience is necessary for High Peaks Adventure, only a willingness to try new things!
