During this 5-day long immersive youth blacksmith program students will gain strong fundamentals in blacksmithing with traditional forging techniques and learn to forge with confidence while completing projects independently with hands on instruction. The course will also cover safety in a metal workshop, basic metallurgy, and proper hammer-technique. The skills learned our students will taper, scroll, punch and twist hot metal into functional and decorative shapes. Each student will have the opportunity to complete multiple projects. No experience is necessary!
