Green River Preserve (GRP) is a co-ed summer camp connecting children with nature. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, GRP's summer camp offers sessions for campers in the rising 2nd through 9th grades and expedition programs for campers in the rising 9th through rising freshman year of college. Accredited by the American Camp Association, GRP's unique program is a safe and comfortable place, both physically and emotionally. Based on a foundation of respect, GRP inspires campers to have a greater understanding of themselves, their environment, and their fellow man.

The Green River experience begins with our staff. Personally and thoroughly interviewed by the camp directors, our staff members are carefully selected with regard to maturity, sensitivity, intellectual achievement, and integrity as role models. Upon selection, our staff is trained to ensure all campers get the rich and rewarding experience they should expect from GRP.

Green River's non-competitive program provides a nurturing community of young people with a heightened appreciation for the natural world. A wide variety of activities such as hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, fly fishing, music, art, pottery, primitive skills, guitar, woodworking, canoeing, archery, and BB skeet foster life time learning skills.

Campers are their best me at GRP! It is a place where the quality of one's character is what really matters. It is a place where children learn from community where ideas, creativity, and discovery are celebrated.
