We are so glad that you are interested in Girl Scout Camp Sacajawea in Iowa! We offer three day sessions so younger girls may come and try camp out, six day sessions for older girls, and a few 2 week sessions for girls going into grades 7 and above. We also offer a Mom and Me, and My Guy and I camps.

Camp Sacajawea also has an equestrian program with a summer herd of 16 horses. We also have a wonderful dining hall and outdoor pool. Our usual summer crafts range from scrapbooking to tie dye and of course friendship bracelets. No matter what session you come to, you will make a special craft to take home.
We have at least one outdoor meal for every six day session.This gives your girl the opportunity to learn to cook a meal over a campfire or camp stove. And of course you will get to learn silly songs and have a s’more. We have campfires most evenings and sing special songs at them.

We have at least one horse program a week for different ages and skill levels. Girls in horse sessions get to ride at least once every full day of camp, weather permitting.

We offer sessions about the environment, crafts, outdoor skills, exploring, water games and spa techniques. We also have a Boundary Waters Canoe trip, and a backcountry backpacking trip! Every session has something unique that makes it special. These will be detailed in the camp book! If your daughter is not a Girl Scout she is able to register just to come to camp.
