OBJECTIVES

Experience something special and exciting this summer by joining ISB for a truly unique camp focused on FRENCH immersion. Our program is strategically designed to engage children in various activities that enable them to apply their verbal, written, and comprehension skills in FRENCH while having oodles of fun!

Under the guidance of FRENCH speaking teachers, your children participate in various recreational, creative, educational, and academic activities in FRENCH. The enriching environment provides an ideal condition for your child to learn/continue with the FRENCH language throughout the summer.

The ISB Summer Camp fits the needs of both non-FRENCH and FRENCH speakers. Non-FRENCH speakers benefit from the language immersion while FRENCH speakers enhance their language skills in an extra-scholastic environment.

CAMP DAY & ACTIVITIES

Children cultivate their FRENCH language skills by participating in a wide array of activities created to encourage physical well-being and summer learning. Fun & exciting weekly themes (such as Pirates, Superheroes, Water, Circus, etc) are incorporated into the curriculum. Typical activities include arts & crafts, drama, music & dance, computers, science & math fun, sports, FRENCH classes, cooking, water games, outdoor fun, board games, story time - reading & writing, and much more!

Additionally, each week the children depart on a FIELD TRIP for an outdoor, summer adventure usually to a beach or lake.

A typical ISB FRENCH Immersion Summer Camp day includes:

8:30am-9:00am -- Students Arrive
9:00am-10:00am -- Outdoor Games/Sports in FRENCH
10:00am-10:30am -- Snack Time & Recess
10:30am-12:00pm -- FRENCH Language Groups (students are divided into FRENCH levels for Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced language activities)
12:00pm-1:00pm -- Lunch (provided by the camp) & Recess
1:00pm-3:30pm -- Theme Related Activities in FRENCH
3:30pm-5:30pm -- Garderie in FRENCH (students have free time to play games, create crafts, read, etc.)

AGES, DATES, FEES, TIMES

Students currently in Kindergarten through 5th Grade may enroll.

Summer Camp 2014 fees include a daily lunch, field trips, a camp t-shirt, and all camp supplies.

Session 1: Monday, June 20 to Friday, June 24
$490 per week / 8:30am-3:30pm*

Session 2: Monday, June 27 to Friday, July 1
$490 per week / 8:30am-3:30pm*

Session 3: Tuesday, July 5 to Friday July 8
$392 per week / 8:30am-3:30pm*

Session 4: Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15
$490 per week / 8:30am-3:30pm*

Session 5: Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 20
$490 per week / 8:30am-3:30pm*

*Extended Day – 3:30pm to 5:30pm for an additional $10.50/hour
