M.S./H.S. Band Camps, Piano Camp & Vocal Camp: June 25-July 1, 2023; String Camp: July 23-29, 2023

Fredonia Summer Music Festival has a long history of providing middle & high school students (grades 6 - 12) with a friendly and relaxed setting for musical growth. Set on the beautiful campus of The State University of New York at Fredonia and housed in the university's School of Music, the Fredonia Summer Music Festival takes advantage of the campus' first-rate facilities and world-class teachers. Many of the festival faculty are also professors at the university. Outstanding performers and teachers provide unique opportunities for learning, improving technical skills and expanding musicality.

The Festival continues its tradition of excellence with the Honors Solo Vocal Camp for students interested in further developing their skills as a solo classical vocalist and the Band Camps which are open to middle and high school instrumental music students (winds, brass, and percussion) with performance opportunities in large ensembles, chamber music, jazz and more. In its second year, the Piano Camp brings young musicians together with outstanding Fredonia piano faculty. The String Camp is for violin, viola, cello and double bass players. Together, the five camps offer students outstanding quality and exceptional value.

The Fredonia Summer Music Festival is an exceptional value. We intentionally keep our tuition and fees as low as possible to make this outstanding musical experience available to everyone. Tuition and fees include: ensemble participation, all instruction (theory, musicianship, composition, etc), attendance at professional music performances and master classes, daily recreation, all meals and housing, and a camp t-shirt. Families in financial need are strongly urged to request funding in writing from your local school, religious organization, or other charitable organizations (Rotary, Lions, etc) for other possible financial support.
