Engineering Camp Charlotte is a summer program for students in rising K-11th grades. Our camps focus on the problem solving side of engineering - teaching kids the engineering design process, habits of mind, and the diversity of engineering while solving fun and exciting challenges.

K2 camps: Kids focus on fun, literacy based challenges. Activities begin by reading a fun book. Students then think like an engineer to solve a problem the main character faced in the story.

Grades 3-8 camps: Kids work together in teams to solve fun and exciting engineering design challenges. They work directly with in progress engineering majors to learn the paths you can take to become an engineer. Students can choose from a variety of engineering disciplines to focus on, allowing them time to dive deeper into an interest but also see how multiple engineering disciplines work together. Families can choose from 'Test Flight', 'Urban Infrastructure Challenge', 'Engineering on the Speedway', 'Mechanical Mayhem', and 'Engineering is Everywhere' programs.

HS camps: Students focus on inventing new ideas to solve the 14 Grand Challenges of Engineering. All activities completed by high schoolers are inspired by real life problems engineers around the world are currently working to solve. They also work alongside in progress engineering majors who will share their own high school, college application, and college experiences.

Camp options run from June 27 through August 5.
