What We Do

DesignX has been nurturing budding makers and designers in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2009. Based in Los Altos, DesignX offers creative programs that encourage campers to look outward for inspiration by first exploring. Counselors then help students take their initial vision from concept to completion and explore their creativity while gaining valuable practical and problem-solving skills. DesignX students have a personal connection to their finished projects, as they are creating something that they intend to wear or use.  Our programs encourage true “design thinking" while fostering a sense of global awareness and an eco-friendly mindset.

Our Mission

Fostering creativity and a maker mindset is what we do! The proprietary methodologies, used in all our programs, helps budding fashionistas or tinkerers as young as 7y to explore and build on their creative confidence, empowering them to make their ideas a reality.

We believe that each child is unique and so is their design. The "X" in our name refers to the unique designs/voice that each one of our budding designer-maker brings to class.
