Camp Wigwam, founded in 1910, is a private boys camp, located in southwestern Maine, in the foothills of the White Mountains. The entire property is cradled in a majestic pine grove on the natural white sand beach of the 250 acre Bear Lake. Each camper is encouraged to participate, on a regular basis, in tennis, golf, and a wide variety of waterfront programs, including a world class waterskiing program. Golf lessons are offered daily, and nine hole outings, at no extra charge, are arranged five days a week to one of four local courses. Wigwam offers four, five or seven week programs in a very low-key, personalized, traditional approach to overnight camping.
