Campers have called Camp Kingswood home for over 110 years for good reason. Located in the pristine lake region of Maine, at the base of the White Mountains, Camp Kingswood’s rustic waterfront location provides the perfect setting for 2nd through 12th graders to have an unplugged, authentic Jewish overnight camp experience steeped in fun, growth, and adventure. Our mission at Kingswood is to create a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment that allows campers to grow and explore in their own way, at their own pace.

We are a camp that feels more like a family than a summer program. With no more than 250 campers at one time, we create an environment where campers feel seen and connected – every day, all session long. This is when campers can really thrive! When kids feel safe, seen, and connected they’re more willing to put themselves out there – whether it’s to meet a new friend or to try a new activity.

At Kingswood campers are encouraged to be adventurous and try new things at their own pace. Exploring activities they love help them discover new interests and skills, while experiencing Shabbat and living alongside Israeli campers exposes them to new ways of thinking about their connection to their Jewish identity. We believe camp is a place where campers can live the values of tikkun olam (repairing the world) and leave camp knowing they’re a part of a larger world that they have the power to impact and change. Kingswood is a place where kids can discover positive and meaningful connections to their Jewish heritage and traditions, and leave camp with a desire to find other meaningful connections to Jewish life.

We strive for excellence in everything we do. As a private camp, the camp experience is our only focus. Our programming is engaging, exciting, and high-caliber, our staff are the best of the best, our communication is detailed and personal, our facility remains rustic and down to earth while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality, even our food is gourmet!
