About Camp Kind

Camp Kind - founded in 2015 - is a unique day camp experience that offers children the opportunity to spend a week (or more) during their long summer vacation giving back to the community by engaging in diverse and exciting volunteering projects at Denver area non-profits.

In addition to Volunteer Field Trips, throughout the week, campers participate in numerous in-camp Kindness Workshops.

Camp Kind’s activities make a lasting impression on the campers and paves the way for greater community volunteer engagement and environmental responsibility.

Another important benefit of Camp Kind is the sense of purpose and positive self-worth, that our campers acquire at Camp Kind that will help them develop into more caring and compassionate young teens and adults.

Camp Kind also offers traditional fun day camp activities including camp games, sports, crafts and drama.

Camp Kind also includes a once a week a fun trip to either Elitches, Boondocks or the Museum of Nature and Science.

For 2019 Camp Kind runs six weekly sessions (Monday – Friday 9:am – 3:30PM) from Tuesday June 11 through July 19 . (Just our first week will start on Tuesday, all remaining weeks will be Mon - Fri)

Camp Kind has two age groups, Camp Explorers (7-10) and Kind Pioneers (11-13). Each group has a maximum of 20 campers and is staffed by two caring counselors.

For 2019 we are piloting Camp Kind Extreme for our last two weeks. July 8 - 19th for kids in entering 8th and 9th grade.

Camp Kind is a project of Chabad of NW Metro Denver and is directed by Benjy & Leah Brackman who brings 14 years of experience in running day camps to NW Metro Denver.
