Established in 1931, Camp Kanuga is a traditional summer camp affiliated with The Episcopal Church. We are located on 1400 acres of mountain vistas, crisp streams and towering pines in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. We serve young people ages 7-18 who cultivate teamwork and friendships guided by top notch staff and counselors. We are committed to promoting growth and fun in a safe, nurturing environment.

Campers make new friends, experience new adventures and cherish the ability to have a great summer experience. All of our programs are designed to build independence and self-confidence in youth while teaching the importance of respect toward each other and the world around them.

Activities include hiking, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, gem mining, arts and crafts, climbing and ropes courses, camp outs, outdoor education, community living, sports, archery, riflery and aquatics.

We have expanded our Expeditions Program to 12-18 year olds which include challenge courses, caving, zip line canopy tours, kayaking, rafting, waterfall hikes, mountain biking and much more! Our Alaska Expedition is an 18 day adventure of a lifetime as 14-18 year olds enjoy activities such hiking the back-country of Denali, multi-day sea kayaking and a day hike alongside the Harding Glacier.

Campers come for either 4, 9, or 13-day sessions.
