Primary Job Function:
Our Whispering Hope Ranch location seeks to hire a reliable, hands-on, customer service oriented individual to join our Guest Services Team.
This role supports our operations in: guest services and administrative support.
Essential Job Duties:
Administrative Support
• Supporting Program manager with staff scheduling ensuring that camp partner’s needs are planned for and communicated to WHR team
• Supporting Program Manager with vendor logistics: under supervision, liaising with caterers and animal interaction vendors to align with camp partner needs
Guest Services
• Participate in arrival and departure days (frequently on weekends), ensuring smooth check-in (orientation, materials check out / in), camp transitions, and departures in an organized and collaborative manner
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to in-the-moment needs of partner organizations during their camp delivery in alignment with standardized procedures
• Interact respectfully and compassionately with all program participants, especially those with emotional, physical, or developmental needs (e.g., disabilities, trauma histories, or those engaged in a healing journey)
• Rotate through activity areas to provide support as needed (setting up projector, distributing signage, filling water coolers, etc)
• Restocking bathrooms and providing occasional, fill-in cleaning as needed

Training, Education, Experience Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to obtain one prior to employment
• Experience in hospitality industry, camp / venue settings strongly preferred
• Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse participants
• Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions; engage in physically active work, lift 25 lbs repeatedly and daily.
• Available to work weekends and evenings with non-standard days off.

Whispering Hope Ranch is seeking a reliable, self-motivated Groundskeeper to support day-today ranch operations through routine grounds care, basic animal-related tasks, and site readiness. This role focuses primarily on morning responsibilities and ensures the ranch remains clean, functional, and prepared for program check-ins and transitions.
This position is a Seasonal role with the possibility of longer term located near between Payson and Heber, AZ. The Groundskeeper may live in town and is not required to reside onsite.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Grounds & Facilities Support:
• Performing daily grounds maintenance tasks to ensure the ranch is safe, clean, and welcoming
• Conducting twice-daily trash collection across the property
• Monitoring outdoor areas and proactively addressing items that need to be moved, repaired, or tidied prior to guest check-in
• Supporting property readiness on program turnover days, including extended availability when one camp departs and another arrives
• Assisting with general upkeep of outdoor spaces, walkways, and common-use areas
• Checking and monitoring water quality, including daily pH
Animal Support (Minimal Direct Interaction):
• Feeding animals according to established schedules
• Mucking barns and maintaining cleanliness of animal housing areas checks
• Supporting animal-related tasks with minimal direct interaction, focusing on routine care needs
Work Schedule:
• Primarily mornings, seven (7) days per week
• Flexible hours, with extended availability required on program turnover days
• Schedule may vary based on ranch occupancy and operational needs

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous groundskeeping, ranch, farm, or outdoor maintenance experience a plus
• Comfort performing routine animal care tasks without extensive animal handling
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
