Camp Rappahannock is a Salvation Army Camp and Retreat Center where six weeks of fun, growth, and ministry take place each summer. With positions available for cooks, recreation specialists, counselors, nurse assistants, office staff, and dining room attendants, there is an opportunity for everyone to be part of the experience!

Camp Rappahannock, nestled in the scenic heart of Virginia at 21457 Happyland Drive in Richardsville, has been a cherished summer destination since 1921. Owned and operated by The Salvation Army, this ACA-accredited camp offers children and teens a safe, faith-centered environment to explore, grow, and connect with nature.
Camp Experience & Activities
Campers at Camp Rappahannock engage in a variety of activities designed to foster personal growth and spiritual development. These include swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, archery, ropes courses, zip-lining, and canoeing. The camp's mission is to help individuals grow physically, socially, educationally, and spiritually through immersive outdoor experiences.
Programs & Schedule
The camp offers diverse programs catering to different age groups and interests. For example, the 2026 summer schedule includes MusiCamp, Music Conservatory, Teen Camps, and Jurassic Journey sessions. These programs are designed to help campers develop confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of community.

Dining Room Attendant — $300/week
Help create a welcoming dining experience by assisting with meal service, setup, and cleanup. Be part of the team that keeps camp running smoothly!
Program Director — $550/week
Oversee and bring camp programs to life! Lead staff, plan activities, and ensure each day is fun, organized, and impactful for every camper.
Office Assistant — $350/week
Keep camp operations organized and efficient by assisting with administrative tasks, communication, and daily office needs.
Housekeeper — $300/week
Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment for campers and staff. Your work keeps camp safe, welcoming, and running at its best!
Lifeguard — $500/week
Ensure safety at the waterfront while creating a fun and engaging environment for campers. Perfect for strong swimmers who enjoy being active outdoors!

Challenge Course Assistant
Employees with SSN's and permits to work in the US will be compensated on a bi-weekly basis, compensation is determined by position and experience. If the emloyee is international, they will be paid a volunteer stipend at the end of their time.
