Do you love the great outdoors? Would you like to be part of a camping experience for teens and adults with disabilities? If so, join us at camp this summer and make a difference in the lives of our campers!
Easterseals Camp Growing Green is an innovative and exciting camp located on the campus of the Pocono Environmental Education Center in Dingmans Ferry, PA. In this beautiful setting in the Pocono Mountains, you will support the needs of campers for six weeks, from late June through August (June 29 - August 8, 2025). Camp staff will attend orientation the week prior. Camp runs Sunday afternoon– Friday afternoon and counselors are off on Saturday. Modern lodging and all meals are provided- most dietary restrictions can be accommodated!

Counselor Competencies and Qualifications
We are in search of exceptional men and women to work and serve on this year's summer staff.
Camp Counselors will assist the Camp Director in implementing the curriculum and supervise campers aged 10 and up to make sure they learn, have fun and most importantly, stay safe. The top duties of a Camp Counselor include planning camp games, implementing activities, encouraging participation and being prepared to address any behavioral issues. Being reliable, believing that all persons have value, rights and abilities and treat them with respect and the ability to build good relationships with campers and co-workers alike are a few of the essential traits of a Growing Green Counselor.
Competencies:
Counselors assist the Camp Director in implementing the curriculum and provide modeling of the skills needed to ensure each camper has a positive and successful experience.
Take part in activities with campers such as:
Weekly camp talent show
Hiking and canoeing
Environmentally friendly activities
Gardening: tend and harvest fresh produce
And more!
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age
Experience in a classroom or camp setting OR a willingness to provide a camping experience to individuals with disabilities

Residential Camp: Compensation of $600/week, plus an additional learning stipend. Camp staff also enjoy 3 meals per day and lodging in a comfortable, air-conditioned cabin.
