Evans Creek is a coed camp serving people with special needs, ages 9-65. Camp philosophy is based in a culture of acceptance and affirmation, supporting a belief that every individual is a unique creation, loved by God and deserving of quality care. The number one goal of camp is creating a healthy community where campers, staff and caregivers thrive and feel like they belong. The camp has a forty year history with a 100% return rate of campers. The directors have a combined experience of over 100 years. As an ACA accredited camp and an EMS station, camp provides professional guidelines for staff to safely serve and grow in their own potential. Staff are expected to share with campers stories from the Bible, sing songs with Christian themes, and meet campers' needs for personal prayer requests by praying with them, particularly at meals and bedtimes.

In 2020, all thirty camp structures were lost in the Beechie Creek fire. The camp is being rebuilt, however 2021 was tent camping only. 2022 may have a combination of tent camping and shelters. There are hot showers and good food and lots of fun activities including fishing, archery, paddle boating, horse rides, nature study, mini-golf, arts and crafts, dancing, talent shows and campfire. All staff are cross-trained. Room for more ideas based on offerings of staff experience and talent.
