Camp Anne and Harriman Lodge serve campers with developmental disabilities and mental retardation and hire over 320 summer employees for a wide variety of jobs. Staff come from over 20 countries and share their life experiences to make life fuller for our participants.
Some of the open positions include:
CABIN/LODGE COUNSELORS: Live in cabins with our guests/campers and are responsible for their care, safety, and welfare. Provide direct assistance with activities of daily living and promotion of safe, fun, and challenging programing. Requires high energy levels, good interpersonal skills, and the desire to make a difference in others lives.
ACTIVITY COUNSELORS: Assume responsibility for planning and leading activities in specified programing area. Experience with speciality area and special populations is necessary.
Live in cabins with guests/campers and are responsible for their care, safety, and welfare.
LIFE GUARDS: Live in cabins with guests/campers and are responsible for their care, safety, and welfare. They are responsible for the safety of campers and staff at the swimming pool and lake. AHRC provides an American Red Cross Certification Course. Applicants must be strong swimmers with experience desirable. Must be available June 1.
NURSES: Live in Nurses' residence. Responsible for daily health care of guests/campers and staff. NY license required. Must be available June 1. VERY COMPETITIVE SALARIES.
OTHER POSITIONS: cooks, secretaries, drivers, housekeeping, laundry, wait staff, dishwashers, and night watch people.
