A summer at Camp Lee Mar may be the most rewarding and challenging summer of your life.

Camp Lee Mar is a coed overnight camp for children and teenagers with mild and moderate developmental challenges. Camp Lee Mar was founded in 1953, is located in the heart of the beautiful Pocono Mountains near the Delaware River in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania. The camp is about 90 miles from New York City and 2 & 1/2 hours from Philadelphia.

Camp Lee Mar is considered by parents and educators to be one of the finest special needs camps in the United States. Campers enjoy all the fun activities of a traditional summer camp while being encouraged to continue to learn and grow with special programs and teaching materials that emphasize academics, speech and language therapy, vocational preparation, and daily living skills. Camp Lee Mar was the first camp in the United States to inaugurate such a unique play-and-learn program, which was developed after careful study and practical research.

The facilities at Lee Mar are excellent! The buildings are air conditioned, the brand new Junior Olympic pool is heated, the food is delicious, and there is a beautiful lake.

Summer Positions Available

Camp Lee Mar hires over 110 staff members each summer.

Since 1953, staff at Camp Lee Mar have found this an experience unlike any other - educational and rewarding beyond all their expectations. Often they have returned for a second, third and even a fourth summer. Many have formed lifelong friendships here, and some have reached firm decisions on what they want to do with their lives.
